What are the chances of this happening? In April of this year, we traded in our 2006 Pleasure
Way Plateau on a 2010 Coachmen Freelander diesel at the Arbutus RV Sales in Mill Bay.
On May 12th we left Victoria to take a trip to Tofino in our new motorhome and noticed our
previously owned Pleasure Way coming up the highway behind us. It turned off and we thought
'well that's the last time we'll see it'. It had been a great unit and a joy to drive; it took us across
Canada,to Alaska and twice down to the warmer climes in the States.
We continued on to Tofino where we'd reserved a site at the Bella Pacifica Campground.
Lo and behold, at approximately 7 p.m. that evening, our Pleasure Way, that we'd seen earlier,
drove into this very same campground. Incredible coincidence! We introduced ourselves to the
new owners, Andre and Carol, who had flown out from Quebec to pick up the Pleasure Way and
drive it back home. They were full of questions about the unit and we were happy to oblige.
Consequently we invited Andre and Carol over for happy hour; it was such a pleasure to
meet this friendly young couple. The following morning was another visit over morning coffee and
of course last minute rv hints and picture taking before Andre and Carol had to leave for the
journey home to Quebec and we said our goodbyes. Coincidentally, we even had the same
salesman, Lorne Johnson, and we knew Lorne had advertised our Pleasure Way on the internet
and within 4 days he had sold it, sight unseen, to someone in Quebec.
We feel good knowing our Pleasure Way went to these wonderful new owners, Andre and Carol, and also knowing with the exchange of email and addresses, that hopefully we will see them again to continue this budding friendship all due to an incredible coincidence in choosing the same campground and love of RV-ing.
