On the Road with Roada

 Surfside RV Resort

Hello my darlings! Are you ready to join us on our latest RV jaunt in our new caravan?  Madge and I decided our next travels would lead us to Surfside RV Resort a first class facility, situated in Parksville, British Columbia centrally located on Vancouver Island's east coast.  This RV resort is open year round with 231 fully serviced RV sites with ocean, estuary and Mountain View scapes. Some of the fine features that you will find at Surfside RV Resort, RV sites varying from 2300 sq. ft. to pads that are 10'x40' or 12'x40, full underground services, phone & cable availability, a fabulous oceanfront clubhouse, sundeck, pool and spa, we are definitely in paradise. The well-groomed grounds of the resort are also a pleasure with tennis & volleyball courts and horseshoe and much much more!  But of course Madge and I did reserve in advance for our Oceanside RV site as recommended on the website at www.surfside.bc.ca or call for more information at

This absolutely spectacular oceanfront RV Resort features a beautiful sandy beach, which without fail me sweet cousin Madge was already in the water frolicking.  While waiting for Madge to complete her little dip in the ocean I decided that I would bask in the sun on the beautiful sandy beach and take in the breathtaking ocean view.   To my delight a group of people that were gathered near called me over to join them. Oh what fun I had, enjoying a little ale and listening to their funnies, Madge joined us for a wee bit, we excused ourselves and promised to meet up with them later in the day to catch the magnificent sunset!  I think Madge was sweet on one of the gents!

As we headed back to our RV site we stop to visit the Oceanfront clubhouse to our surprise it was very roomy!  Great for a potluck dinner, a nice cozy chat, or enjoy a nice warm sit by the fireplace with some friends!

As it was getting late in the day we decided to head back to the caravan, oh did I tell you that the RV sites are beautifully set overlooking the ocean.  On our short stroll back we met up with our new found chums from the beach and invited them over for toddy and appies.  It's just too bloody easy we found our appies in the current Island RV Guide which included RVQ Pizza, Stuffed Baked Potatoes, Camping Nachos and for dessert RVQ Apple Delight!  Madge took out the RVQ and started to prepare the appies while I concentrated on the toddies; Fiesta Margarita's which I had found in the May/June issue of the Island RV Guide….simply yummy!

Our chums had arrived and we sat down and enjoyed the delicious appies, and of course everyone raved about the margaritas!

As nightfall was almost upon us we all decided to sit at the beach and watch cruise ships and the sunset! Bringing blankets and our course the margaritas we headed down to the beautiful sandy beach.  As we were heading down to the beach, I noticed that my sweet cousin Madge was off for a stroll on the beach with one of the gents…hum!  As we all gathered together at the beach the chums started reciting even more funnies, my tummy was sore from all the laughter.  As the sunset was now upon us, everyone was silent… oh dear it truly was a beautiful site!

We stayed at the beach for a while longer waiting for Madge and Peter to return, upon their return we headed back to our beautiful caravan and wished everyone a good night, and that we would see our chums the next day for some more fun in the sun. Madge and I were both really excited for our next day's adventures with our chums.  We truly are enjoying our stay at Surfside RV Resort and look forward to coming back here again; we both give it the Royal Stamp of Approval!

Sweet dreams my darlings until we meet again!
